Texas is full of incredible places. From the big cities like Austin, Dallas San Antonio, and Houston to the small Texas towns that litter the countryside. This is a list of the Top 10 small towns in Texas that we find most memorable.

10. Luckenbach, Texas

A small community of 13 residents, located 13 miles from Fredericksburg. Additionally, the town has a working saloon, dance hall, and general store that hosts events and activities throughout the year.

9. Granbury, Texas

Home to many cultural, culinary, and historic stops, the city of Granbury and the surrounding countryside is perfect for the entire family. In addition, you won’t want to miss the local flavor.

8. Shiner, Texas

There are so many fun things to see and do in Shiner. From the Spoetzl Brewery to Welhausen Park, there is something for everybody. To make the most of it, book a stay at a Shiner Hotel and explore the town.

7. Salado, Texas

Nestled among the rolling green hills of Central Texas along Salado Creek, the town has always been a unique destination full of artists, historic bed and breakfasts, restaurants, and fun things to discover.

Many people travel from nearby cities like Austin and San Antonio in buses to float the river or enjoy a day at Schlitterbahn Waterpark.

With a small town square, a population under 3,000. and a growing artist community, Wimberley is a quaint village in Hays County, Texas. It is still predominantly a ranching area outside of town, but the area has become popular with tourists looking for swimming holes, river access, fantastic shopping, eclectic dining options, wineries, breweries, and more.
