Shiner Brewery – One of the most notable landmarks in Shiner is the Spoetzl Brewery. Founded in 1909, this is where it all began for Shiner beer. They currently produce 1.2 million barrels per year! Today’s Spoetzl Brewery is a far cry from the old tin shed where Shiner first flowed back in 1909. They say that they think their founder, Kosmos Spoetzl, would probably be amazed at the state-of-the art Brew House. Driving Directions:

From the Inn, the Spoetzl Brewery is exactly one mile away. From the office, turn right and head southeast on Avenue E for .5 miles. Them turn left on 5th, and another left on Hilltop to reach your destination in approximately 3 minutes by car. If you prefer to walk, the estimated travel time is 15 minutes. They will have a cool refreshment waiting for you when you arrive.
